It gives me great joy to congratulate you on your upcoming graduation from St. Augustine’s University. You’ve done so well in your four years there, achieving remarkable milestones in leadership. I’m glad you got involved in college life with gusto and poise, adding your own unique qualities to the rich tapestry of opportunities to learn, grow, and contribute. I know that your heart was set on completing your senior year by walking across the stage to receive your well-earned diploma. The coronavirus pandemic is a bad actor in the Class of 2020’s narrative. I’m so sorry for the disruption. My prayer is that you and all graduating seniors will find memorable ways to celebrate your success. Good things will come from your resilience, ingenuity, and faith. Be encouraged.
