Freshman guard Regime McCombs was named CIAA women’s basketball rookie of the week on Monday, Jan. 28, 2013.
 
McCombs has won the honor four times this season including three of the last four weeks. A St. Aug player has captured the award seven out of 11 weeks.
 
A 5-6 sharpshooter from Greenville, S.C., McCombs averaged 18 points in two games last week. She scored 16 points in a win over Johnson C. Smith University on Wednesday, and 20 points in a loss to Shaw University on Saturday.
 
McCombs ranks second in the CIAA in three-point shooting percentage (37.2), and 14^th in NCAA Division II in three-point field goals per game (2.83). She leads the Lady Falcons in points per game (11.9).
