Find out more »Candidate Eligibility & Clearance – SGA
Eligibility & Clearance Each potential candidate must be cleared academically, financially, and judicially. Each candidate’s information (name and student identification number) will be submitted to the Registrar’s Office, the Office of Business & Finance, and to the Office of Judicial Affairs to determine the eligibility of each potential candidate. The approved candidate’s names will be submitted to the Executive Director of Enrollment and Retention Services for review and approval.

All candidates that are approved by the Division of Student Development and Services must address the student body at 6:00 p.m in the MLK Student Mall. Candidates will be grouped according to the respective office and will draw for order of appearance and allowed no more than 7 minutes for their speech. Please be advised that this is a mandatory activity for all approved candidates. The dress attire is Business.

Voting Day – SGA
Polls will be open 11:00 a.m – 6:00 p.m in the MLK, Jr. Mall area. Please refer to “Voting Procedures” located in the Candidate’s Information Guide. (All candidates must remove all signage from the MLK Student Union by midnight and any location within 50 feet of the MLK, Jr. Conference Center)
